A Casual Summer Dress Styled 4 Ways

You guys know I’m ALL ABOUT casual looks on a daily basis. I love to get dressed up, but hands down my daily look is totally casual here in Colorado. I’ve made it a goal that in 2019 I will wear more dresses. (How’s that for a resolution? Aim high ladies! Aim high! 😉 ) I spotted this adorable casual (*affiliate link) summer dress on Amazon for $19.99. Enjoying living life on the edge as I do, I took a chance and ordered it.

This post contains affiliate links, which means that if you order something through one of them, then at no cost to you I may receive a small commission, which is how I keep my blog going……so thank-you!

You guys! I couldn’t be more pleased! The fabric is so soft – like your favorite tee shirt. Its not too thin and it doesn’t pull down or stretch out after wearing it awhile. And this little dress has the one thing that bumps up the appeal of ANY dress: slash pockets. The only thing I didn’t like is that they didn’t have any real summery colors available. Mostly dark colors. I’d love to grab it in an orange or a bright yellow! But alas, I guess you can’t have everything you want for under $20, huh?

To show you how stinkin’ versatile this little swing dress is, I’ve styled it 4 ways. 2 dressy and 2 casual. I’m sure you already have versions of all of these accessories in your closet, so grab yourself this little $20 dress and instantly elevate your summer wardrobe!

Amazon can be tough on sizing so for reference I am 5’4.5″ and 130lbs and I’m wearing a medium. I’m busty on top, so I always go up in size on anything that covers my top. I’ve linked all of my exact pieces where ever possible if you would like to create any of these exact looks.

After Switzerland- I’ve gotta admit, it’s tough taking pictures in front of my garage door again and sorry for the dirty driveway….livin’ that mountain life!

Look #1

Just wear the dress! Add some summery sandals, jewelry, sunglasses and a dressy bag and you’re out the door! My sandals are from Sam Edelman and I have them in this color and the almond patent color. They’re so comfy and they go with almost everything! They look a lot like the Tory Burch sandals here.

Grab the perfect summer hat, which you can snag here for $15. Tie your favorite denim jacket or even a sweater around your waist, throw on your converse and you’re done.

For a more sleek and dressy look, add some tall wedges. Scarves are having such a moment right now! Tie a scarf around your neck for an instant chic vibe. This scarf is from Chan Luu and it came in the Rachel Zoes Box of Style. I adore that subscription box!

Look #4

The most casual and probably the one I will go to again and again. I’m wearing a baseball cap and I’ve tied my jean jacket back around my waist and I’m wearing these adorable sneakers from Shein. They are a good dupe for the $500 Golden Goose sneakers that you are seeing in photos. But y‘all– $500 for dirty looking sneakers?…….. I just won’t. Ever

But I love the look of them so these are a great substitute for about $30 and they are incredibly comfortable. A cross-body bag is perfect for this look and I can guarantee that I’ll be wearing this a lot this summer!
