After reading the glowing report from the beautiful- skinned blogger Amanda, over at The Bellezza Corner, I figured I should give Egyptian Magic a whirl. Honestly, with a name like “Egyptian Magic Skin Cream” how can ones curiosity not be piqued?
I have been giving Egyptian Magic such a vigorous trial because I get so tired of people offering glowing reports on a product that they tried, only to have them toss it out 2 months later in favor of the next “new” thing. Honestly, at my age, I’m looking for stuff that WORKS. I’ve lived through the days where my bathroom counter was literally covered with “special” serums, lotions, oils and creams. These days, I need something sturdy, people. Any product I use needs to get the job done quickly with as with as little fanfare as possible, after I stumble groggily to my vanity table each morning.
And friends, thats why you can trust my reviews……..Because I greet each and every new product with bitter, hopeless, skepticism. You’re welcome.

Egyptian Magic Skin Cream: What is it?
Egyptian Magic Skin Cream is an all natural, all purpose skin cream with 6 ingredients that are touted to be some of the most powerful that nature has to offer for moisturizing as well as healing. The formula itself is said to have been found in the tomb of Egyptian pharos and it’s also been called “Cleopatras Cream”. It’s a cult favorite in Hollywood and has been raved about around the world. Celebrities like Kate Hudson, Brooke Shields, Eva Mendez, Lauren Conrad and loads more, all swear by this cream. The ingredients are simply : Olive oil, beeswax, honey, bee pollen, royal jelly and propolis extract.
You and I have been around the block a time or two with various skin care products and we all know that these products, found in nature, are the ones heralded again and again to be the best. Every product likes to shout out if they have one of these ingredients in them. Here they are, all in one, simple jar.
What Does it Do?
Well, that’s a loaded question. The better question would be what DOESN’T it do? The word “all purpose” is on the jar and it lives up to that claim! Of course its a lovely and very moisturizing skin cream, but it doesn’t stop there. Uses range from lip balm,to make up remover, to hair mask, to diaper rash! It is said to heal everything from acne scars to stretch marks. People who suffer with eczema and psoriasis have also experienced great results with Egyptian Magic Skin Cream, which really speaks to it’s moisturizing and healing properties. Multi purpose is the name of the game with this product.
How do you use it?
Per the directions on the jar: “Take a moderate amount and rub it in your palms until it takes the form of oil, which improves absorption. Apply it gently over skin.”
For me personally, I have been using this over my night-time, anti aging cream. I slather this stuff on liberally and my skin is soft and supple in the morning. Moisturize it DOES. In fact, I would use it on dry skin anywhere: lips, elbows, feet, etc. With a nod to the millennial generation, another favorite use is as a make-up remover and “oil cleanser” before my Clarisonic. Thats right……….the double cleanse- because I’m up on sh*z like that.
I use it as a hand moisturizer and it has helped my horrible cuticles tremendously. Why are my cuticles so bad anyway? Honestly, there must be some grizzled field hand walking around with lovely hands that were supposed to be mine.
From now on, whenever I travel, Egyptian Magic is what I will take on the plane with me. At my age, long haul flights will leave your skin parched no matter HOW many cocktails you begrudgingly avoid and no matter HOW much water you drink. This could be a lifesaver.
How Much is it and Where can you buy it?
If you search online, you will find loads of places that offer Egyptian Magic Skin Cream. I got mine on Amazon for $29. You can also check it out and order straight from Egyptian Magic . With the tiny amount needed per use, a 4 oz jar will last you forever! If you use the correct amount, it is not greasy.
My Conclusion[ctt template=”8″ link=”O0RzB” via=”yes” ]It works. @EgyptianMagic is just the kind of “sturdy”, multi-use product that I can stand behind. [/ctt]While not “magic” in the sense of making wrinkles disappear, (Good Lord! Get a move-on science!), it does exactly what it says and is incredibly moisturizing and healing. I also love that the company kept the old, throw back packaging. [ctt template=”8″ link=”fSajx” via=”no” nofollow=”yes”]This is the kind of product that I wish I had discovered in my twenties. It is so moisturizing and nourishing.[/ctt] (which is why my can’t-be-bothered-with-skin-care, Bush Ranger daughter in South Africa, has a fresh jar sitting on her tent shelf).
In addition, Egyptian Magic is made in the USA and the company stands behind their product by offering a 100% money back guarantee if not satisfied. Hard to argue with that.
Also Good to Know
- Your husband may try to sneak it.
- Your dog will love it. Like seriously…..he will want to eat it.
