Fall Home Decor Ideas
I love Autumn. On those first crisp, cool mornings the coffee just tastes better as I stare out the window and then have to grab an extra layer before taking Winston out for his walk. I love it when that change hits! The way I dress changes, the foods I want to cook and eat changes, and I like to change the way our home looks in the fall. I thought I’d share a sort of round up post of fall home decor ideas to give you some inspiration if you’re into that sort of thing!
Growing up, I don’t remember my mom (or any of the other moms), doing much indoor fall home decor. Maybe a wreath change for the door and maybe some fall blooms that were brought in from outside. I’m not sure when inside fall decor became a thing, but I’m here for it and I love it! Changing up little things that add warmth to the house in Autumn just makes me happy. So without further adieu, behold my fall decor ideas:

Faux pumpkins | Pumpkin candle | Garland | Hearth Candles |Velvet pillows
We had brown leather furniture in this house. (This was Winston’s most favorite furniture we’ve ever had.) I added even more warmth with an array of orange faux pumpkins, candles, textured blankets, baskets and throw pillows. The garland was a last minute idea and it’s just a fuller green garland twisted with the cheap fall leaf garland that you can find everywhere at this time of the year.

Make it Neutral

Neutral Pumpkins | Blanket | Cream textured Pillow Cover
This was at the same house and I decided to lighten things up with a more neutral look. I added some light colored faux pumpkins and then scoured the house for all the neutral decor I had. I tried again for lots of textures and layers. The Emily Bronte’ poem was printed from Etsy and then added to an existing frame. I used the same garland.

Small living room fall home decor

This was our Virginia house and it had smaller rooms. I feel like in a smaller space, less is more to keep it from feeling too cluttered. I opted for a few fabric pumpkins and focused more on warming the room up for fall with blankets, wood elements and some small autumn flowers here and there, while leaving the creamy white hydrangeas as they were. The Frame TV is a decorators dream come true, you have endless possibilities for art work each season! You can see more of that house here and here.
I hope you enjoyed viewing these fall home decor ideas. You can easily find all the links to all the products and much more on my LTK store, here under the “Collections” tab where you can also find fall front porch ideas.
Do you like to freshen up your decor with the changing of the seasons or is it overkill for you?
I’m excited to share some Halloween Party ideas with you soon. My sister and I did a Halloween party at our place for my niece and nephew awhile back and it turned out SO good! You can see it and get all details here.
Thanks so much for reading!
