I’ve been drinking this green juice daily for years. It’s a simple, inexpensive thing to add to your day that will give your skin that “glow from within” look. I stumbled upon the benefits of green juice when trying out the Sirtfood Diet years ago. This green juice is packed with anti-inflammatory ingredients that will help your entire body. Let’s talk about why this green juice for glowing skin actually produces results.

Green juice for glowing skin

Inflammation is at the root of most (if not all) diseases, so taking in concentrated amounts of fresh anti- inflammatory vegetables and fruits is beneficial to ALL the organs of the body, including your skin.

Below are the ingredients that I always have in my green juice. I sometimes will also add an apple, cucumber, other greens, etc if I have them. But below are the ones that are always there daily, and I’m able to keep them on hand pretty easily. This is the juicer I’ve been using for years and can highly recommend.

Why this Green Juice Works

Celery –  Celery contains beta carotene, flavonoids, vitamins A, K, C and B 6, antioxidants and phytonutrients. Vitamin C brightens the skin, evens out skin tone and can even reduce hyperpigmentation! (Yes, please). The phytonutrients in celery have been shown to reduce inflammation in the digestive tract, cells, blood vessels, and organs (skin!). And celery is super hydrating as 95% of celery’s structure is water.

Kale – Kale is rich in chlorophyl, antioxidants, calcium and Vitamins A, C and K. Chlorophyl reduces inflammation. Vitamin K helps reduce stress levels which has a positive effect on your skin. It also has magnesium, vitamin B 6, copper and iron which are all great for your immune health as well.

Lemon -Lemon is full of Vitamin C which is crucial for immune health, skin firmness and giving your skin the “glow” we’re after. When you add a vitamin C supplement as well as using topical Vitamin C, you are increasing the benefits of this potent antioxidant.

Ginger -Ginger is another powerful anti inflammatory that also fights free radicals and works wonders for your digestion.

Green Juice for Glowing Skin

4-6 celery stalks

1 2inch piece of ginger

3-4 stalks of kale

1/2 fresh lemon, juiced

Cold produce produces the best taste. Wash the produce. Juice the kale, ginger and celery. Then squeeze the juice of 1/2 a lemon. Pour into a glass and drink it down! If you need it sweet instead of tart, add a large apple.

While I find it best to make this daily, you can alternatively store it in a glass bottle for a few days, but it will separate, so shake before drinking.

I find it takes about 2 weeks of drinking the juice daily to notice a “radiance” and lack of formerly dull skin.
