My life is not boring. Nor is it predictable in any way. I mean it. None… But I’m rolling with it. Read on…..
Our family has undergone some deep twists and turns this year and they haven’t stopped or even slowed down yet. We moved to Utah 6 months ago and now I am packing us up to move again. And just like last time, at the time of this writing, I have no idea where we are going! <suppressing scream> Now, this isn’t due haphazardness or lack of planning in any way. In fact, it is all related to calculated risks that are measured against family and individual goals. It’s just how we roll. And while it can be completely harrowing during the decision-making process- the end result is always what we collectively agree on and then we can excitedly move forward. I am definitely excited to move!
I recently read THIS POST from Not Dressed as Lamb, and the amount of truth that Catherine spills, regarding becoming a full-time blogger left me hyperventilating. It’s all SO true! So, as the busyness of my life ramps up, I will be scrambling to write and share on social media. But I promise to keep you posted on our new crazy- and hey- there will be a new house tour post in the future! (I just don’t know where yet. <gulp>)
There has been a lot of business travel in our lives recently. Some flying and more recently road tripping. Yep- Winston came with us. He’s a total pro at hotels now, and I wish so badly that I’d had someone snap a pic of him riding the all glass elevator in the giant lobby of Embassy Suites! He was so dignified, lol- like he KNEW he was doing something special. With his size and giant puppy face- he creates quite the stir wherever we go. No traveling low profile for us!
In the past month I’ve had the pleasure to meet some wonderful new people, connect with some old friends and see some of the most glorious sights our country has to offer! Here’s a little snippet of our most recent road trip.

On our way back to the cabin in Utah, we stopped in an Air BnB up in the mountains of Colorado. At about 11,000 feet in elevation, Kate has amassed this incredible array of dome structures. I kid you not, it looked like we’d come upon a hobbit village tucked among in the alpine forest. Her home is a dome house and she tends several year- long gardens in dome-shaped greenhouses that are scattered about as well. The space we rented was a loft space, above a storage area. I’ve never been inside a dome house before and this is just incredible. Not only the way that it was designed and engineered, but the dome provides one of the warmest, quietest, most comfortable sleeping environments I’ve ever encountered. We enjoyed our stay so much. We were surrounded by so many of Colorados 14 ers and all the hiking we could ever want was right out our back door. This was hands down one of my favorite Air BnB experiences. If you use this link, you can get $40 off of your first Air BnB booking– we’ve stayed at some of the most wonderful places around the world using Air BnB– and usually at quite the bargain!

All of this traveling means that I need each of my makeup and skincare products to do as much as possible so that I don’t have to carry a cosmetic case the size of a compact car. This brings me to my latest obsession with IT Cosmetics. There are 3 things in their line up that I am currently completely IN LOVE with. Read on..
First the IT Cosmetics CC Cream. OMG- this stuff is a dream come true. I usually scoff at a CC Cream, because it’s too light. But this coverage is beautiful. It’s a medium coverage out of the tube (which has a pump, thank you.) and it’s buildable to a full coverage. It has 50 SPF and glides on very wet before drying after several minutes to a beautiful “skin like” finish. I completely love it on my mature skin. If you don’t have a lot of redness or blemishes to cover, I think you’ll like this. It looks like my own skin- only not as old, lol! All IT Cosmetics also have skin care ingredients in them, so the brand does say that they think of skincare first.
The second item is the IT Bye Bye Undereye Corrector. It does what it says. Dark circles- vanished. This stuff is so pigmented, I swear I don’t know when I’ll ever need another one! My only criticism is in the available shades. I would actually be a perfect match with a mix of the light and the medium together. I went with the medium and I’m making it work- but more shades would be nice.
Lastly, I am blown away by the IT Superhero mascara. Holy crap! I don’t know what magic the mascara developers over at IT have that no one else does, but this stuff is amazing. It’s like no other mascara I’ve ever tried. Again, it does what it says on the box. My lashes are normal length again thanks to lash serum, but this mascara makes them look completely transformed. I’m in love. (I’ll spare you another EYE photo!) If you can get your hands on a sample from Ulta or Sephora snatch it up and try it for yourself (In fact snatch up ANY of their samples- the sample alone will last a long time). The often promised but rarely delivered- long, lush kitten lashes await you. It also stays on all day without a smidge of transfer and then removes like a dream at night with a regular eye makeup remover.
You can shop at www.ITCosmetics.com and get free shipping on orders over $25 as well as 3 free samples with your order. Or you can shop on Amazon Prime for the CC Cream ,the Bye Bye Undereye Corrector and the Superhero Mascara.
And By the way, I should have a new order from Beauty Pie waiting for me in the mailbox, so I will be excited to let you know how I like my latest goodies from them!
So that’s it! You’re caught up on my current daily madness as well as a few of the products that are making life easier-and prettier- at the moment.
What do you think? Could you handle so many “unknowns” in your life? Just HOW flexible would you be willing to be as long as it meant moving forward as a family? And what about IT Cosmetics? Have you tried any of these? Are you as impressed as I am? Have you tried anything else their line? I’d love to hear about it in the comments!
Until Next Time Lovelies!
