Mountains to Beaches!

We stole a little time to get away recently and wow was it needed! I thought I’d give you a little catch-up with what’s been going on.

Trip to the Mountains

First, we grabbed Winston and took a few days to head up to Estes Park, here in Colorado. We try to get up there at least once a year and it never disappoints. Especially at this time of the year when the elk are in rut. They pretty much take over the town, so it isn’t at all uncommon to see a massive elk stroll by the coffee shop you’re sitting in…..which happened.

Equally amazing is how close people will try to get to these massive wild animals. A lady was really fortunate while we were there when she was way too close to a huge bull elk and he decided he’d had enough! The facebook video is unbelievable!

Pretty sure he always has the right of way.

We took a drive through Rocky Mountain National Park and the aspens were already showing off. We had drinks at The Stanley and a lovely dinner at Bird and Jims. It was a really relaxing few days and I’m so glad that we took the time away from work to do it. Highly, highly recommend.

Trip to the Beach

A few days later, the whole family hopped on different planes and all converged onto North Carolina. My whole family goes to the beach down there every year. This year was really special because we almost lost my mom last year after complications from surgery. That was a super scary time for all of us and it wasn’t lost on any of us how blessed we were to all be together this year.

No Filter.

We had perfect weather an almost empty beach and just a load of fun with everyone!

My airline carry on was packed per usual with my OTG247 bags! (If you missed it- You can read more about my packing hack here and here).

In my blogging world- I finally hit 2K on Instagram which is actually really exciting for me! (Follow me here)

I’ve been working on putting together the blogging schedule to end all schedules to help finally rope all of my 10 million tasks together into a planner. I’m pretty excited about it because blogging is a ton of work and not one single planner or book that I’ve read has actually helped me to organize all the tasks into days, weeks and months. If you are a blogger, and you have found something that’s helpful, please help a girl out!

Exciting Purchase

I finally pulled the trigger on these beauties.

mountains, vince camuto

These are the Vince Camuto ones and I’ve worn them every day since I got home. They are SO comfortable! Much more than my VC suede, almond toe ones from a few years ago. If I could, I’d get them in several other colors. They are really that comfortable. I’m sure you’ll be seeing these a lot! They run true to size, but if you are between sizes, size up. These are the “tortilla” color and I heart them so much. Right now, you can get 10% off if you sign up for their emails and an additional 3% back if you use this as well!

Well, you’re all up to date and I’m glad to be back in the mountains and getting back to work! Fall is officially here in Colorado with temps in the low 70’s during the day and dipping down into the high 30’s to 40’s at night- and I’m here for it!

Thank you so much for continuing to support me here on my blog as well as on FB and IG! You guys are the very best followers that anyone could ever ask for!

Wow, that video of the moose. They’re such striking animals, but can be dangerous. My husband’s parents used to have a cabin on one of the lakes in Maine and we’d see moose swimming by in front of the house sometimes. It was really cool, but I wouldn’t want to be face to face with one. Congrats on Instagram!! You know, I’don’t even go on there anymore? It really hasn’t effected my sales much, but I don’t get the sponsorships anymore. That’s ok though.

Your getaway looked great and elk walking the streets wow. That lady does not surprise me, did you see that report on the news where that woman jumped in the lion pen at the zoo and then taunted the lion. That is nuts, she was arrested.
